Description
Do you want to work on a New Class of Drones? Our product universe spans three different platforms with maximum take-off weights of up to 1000 kg and characteristic dimensions of 8 m: The hexacopter Grille for medical evacuation, the multi-role rotorcraft Wespe for logistics and support operations, as well as the fixed-wing drone Bussard for surveillance and intelligence missions. All systems are powered by RasCore, our highly redundant, military-grade avionics system for safe operations within EASA’s Specific Category. Three aircraft, one mission: to bridge the gap between small UAVs and traditional manned systems.
The Drone Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and operational readiness of Avilus’ advanced unmanned aerial systems used in medical logistics, emergency response, and critical infrastructure missions. This role focuses on the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of complex drone platforms, including heavy-lift and modular UAV systems designed for transporting medical equipment, rescue supplies, and other mission-critical payloads.
Working closely with engineering, flight operations, and testing teams, the Drone Maintenance Engineer performs preventive and corrective maintenance on propulsion systems, avionics, batteries, communication systems, and structural components. The position also supports ground testing, flight readiness checks, and failure analysis to maintain the highest safety and performance standards. By ensuring that Avilus drone platforms remain mission-ready in demanding operational environments, the Drone Maintenance Engineer plays a key role in enabling reliable aerial logistics and life-saving drone operations.
