Description

Do you want to work on a New Class of Drones? Our product universe spans three different platforms with maximum take-off weights of up to 1000 kg and characteristic dimensions of 8 m: The hexacopter Grille for medical evacuation, the multi-role rotorcraft Wespe for logistics and support operations, as well as the fixed-wing drone Bussard for surveillance and intelligence missions. All systems are powered by RasCore, our highly redundant, military-grade avionics system for safe operations within EASA’s Specific Category. Three aircraft, one mission: to bridge the gap between small UAVs and traditional manned systems.

A job with high responsibility: You can make the difference and drive our development artifacts to flight readiness. The model-based development approach enables the detection of possible failure conditions in early stages within the development process. As a Test Engineer, you are dedicated to identifying these failures by developing Model- and Software-in-the-Loop test cases using MATLAB/Simulink and in-house toolchains. This means you will verify that the function's design reflects the system requirements and help enhance our toolchains to further automate our processes. Therefore, you will work closely with test, function, and systems engineers to ensure the safe operation of our products.

Tasks

  • Definition and Implementation of model-in-the-loop test cases based on MATLAB/Simulink
  • Improvement and automation of our MiL and SiL development strategies and test setups
  • Tracking of automated test runs and bug reporting
  • Simulative verification of the function design as per DO-178C
  • Establishing traceability between requirements, functions and tests
  • Close collaboration with functions and systems engineers

Qualifications

  • Degree: Completed studies (Bachelor or Master) in the domain of aerospace engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or comparable programs
  • Method-Knowledge: model-in-the-loop, V-model, validation and verification process (DO-178C and DO-278A), model-based design (DO-331)
  • Tool-Knowledge (mandatory): MATLAB/Simulink, GIT
  • Tool-Knowledge (optional): GitLab, Python
