Description
Do you want to work on a New Class of Drones? Our product universe spans three different platforms with maximum take-off weights of up to 1000 kg and characteristic dimensions of 8 m: The hexacopter Grille for medical evacuation, the multi-role rotorcraft Wespe for logistics and support operations, as well as the fixed-wing drone Bussard for surveillance and intelligence missions. All systems are powered by RasCore, our highly redundant, military-grade avionics system for safe operations within EASA’s Specific Category. Three aircraft, one mission: to bridge the gap between small UAVs and traditional manned systems.
We are seeking a Production Planning Specialist to coordinate and optimize integration activities across our aircraft and ground control station segments. In this role, you will develop and maintain detailed production schedules, translate engineering requirements into actionable work packages, and ensure that parts, materials, and tooling are ready for workshop execution. Working closely with workshop teams, you will monitor progress, anticipate bottlenecks, and proactively adjust plans to keep integration tasks on track. Your background in hands-on workshop or assembly environments enables you to understand practical constraints, support technicians effectively, and drive continuous improvement in our build and integration processes. This role is essential to ensuring that integration activities remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with project goals. By bridging technical teams and workshop execution, the Production Planning Specialist directly contributes to the reliability, performance, and safe delivery of our aircraft and GCS systems.
Tasks
- Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed production and integration schedules for aircraft assemblies, subassemblies, and ground control systems.
- Coordinate with engineering, prototyping, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure resource availability and task readiness.
- Break down integration tasks into clear work packages with defined durations, dependencies, and resource needs.
- Work closely with workshop and integration technicians to understand practical constraints, tooling needs, sequence of work, and process improvements.
- Ensure that work instructions, parts, materials, and equipment are available according to schedule.
- Monitor workshop progress and proactively adjust plans to address delays, technical blockers, or prioritization changes.
- Track progress against the baseline plan; identify schedule risks early and propose mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain accurate dashboards, KPIs, and delivery forecasts.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of standardized planning processes, templates, and tools.
Qualifications
- Degree: Completed technical apprenticeship in a technical trade or comparable (e.g., mechanics, mechatronics, electronics) or bachelor’s in production engineering or similar
- Experience: Solid hands-on experience in workshop, hangar, or mechanical/electrical assembly environments—ideally in aerospace, UAVs, robotics, automotive, or similar industries.
- Method-Knowledge: Strong grasp of task sequencing, dependencies, resource allocation, and constraint management.
- Tool-Knowledge (mandatory): Familiarity with bills of materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, and work instruction.
- Required for employment: Security clearance (Ü2-Sabotageschutz) approval (note: relationships in countries according to § 13 para. 1 no. 17 SÜG may result in a negative assessment)
