Do you want to work on a New Class of Drones? Our product universe spans three different platforms with maximum take-off weights of up to 1000 kg and characteristic dimensions of 8 m: The hexacopter Grille for medical evacuation, the multi-role rotorcraft Wespe for logistics and support operations, as well as the fixed-wing drone Bussard for surveillance and intelligence missions. All systems are powered by RasCore, our highly redundant, military-grade avionics system for safe operations within EASA’s Specific Category. Three aircraft, one mission: to bridge the gap between small UAVs and traditional manned systems.
To support our Safety Manager, we are looking for a Safety Specialist. This role is well-suited for experienced professionals interested in aviation safety, safety management processes, and organizational tasks.
Tasks
- Supporting the Safety Manager in ongoing processes and documentation
- Conducting the risk assessments
- Following up on occurrence reporting
- Initiating or participating in occurrence investigations and preparing reports
- Conducting safety audits for the operational teams
- Monitoring corrective actions to ensure their accomplishment
- Assisting in preparing regular safety performance reports
- Contributing to safety promotion activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher diploma in Aerospace Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of aviation experience, including at least 3 years in an active Safety Management Systems role
- Experience in occurrence investigation and root cause analysis
- Experience in risk assessment methodologies
- Experience in internal auditing and safety compliance monitoring
- Solid knowledge of EASA regulations related to Safety Management Systems
- Knowledge of UAS operations and the UAS regulatory framework is preferred
- Structured, detail-oriented, and reliable working style
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Required for employment: Security clearance (Ü2-Sabotageschutz) approval (note: relationships in countries according to § 13 para. 1 no. 17 SÜG may result in a negative assessment)
