Do you want to work on a New Class of Drones? Our product universe spans three different platforms with maximum take-off weights of up to 1000 kg and characteristic dimensions of 8 m: The hexacopter Grille for medical evacuation, the multi-role rotorcraft Wespe for logistics and support operations, as well as the fixed-wing drone Bussard for surveillance and intelligence missions. All systems are powered by RasCore, our highly redundant, military-grade avionics system for safe operations within EASA’s Specific Category. Three aircraft, one mission: to bridge the gap between small UAVs and traditional manned systems.
You will be the technical mastermind behind a sophisticated Odoo ecosystem designed to manage high-stakes technical operations and specialized operator certifications. Working within a small team, you will transform complex regulatory requirements into a seamless, automated reality. This isn't just ERP—it's the technical engine that ensures our fleet remains operational and compliant in a demanding industrial environment.
Tasks
- Architect the Odoo backend to serve as the single source of truth for fleet maintenance and regulatory compliance.
- Build and optimize high-performance modules to track critical flight logs, parts lifecycles, and maintenance intervals.
- Design robust data bridges between the central platform and mobile apps used by technicians in the field.
- Partner with compliance experts to encode international aviation standards directly into the software workflow.
- Define and maintain clean APIs that ensure the entire digitalization landscape remains scalable and secure.
- Define our coding standards according to the specific needs of the aerospace industry
- Work closely with the Product Owner to turn high-level operational needs into elegant technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Degree: Academic degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Extensive track record in Odoo architecture and Python development, preferably in industrial or fleet management environments.
- Method-Knowledge: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, relational databases, and system design patterns.
- Tool-Knowledge (mandatory): Odoo, Python, PostgreSQL, REST/XML-RPC, and Git.
- Tool-Knowledge (optional)Experience with mobile frontend integration or CI/CD pipelines.
- Required for employment: Security clearance (Ü2-Sabotageschutz) approval (note: relationships in countries according to § 13 para. 1 no. 17 SÜG may result in a negative assessment)
