Description

Do you want to work on a New Class of Drones? Our product universe spans three different platforms with maximum take-off weights of up to 1000 kg and characteristic dimensions of 8 m: The hexacopter Grille for medical evacuation, the multi-role rotorcraft Wespe for logistics and support operations, as well as the fixed-wing drone Bussard for surveillance and intelligence missions. All systems are powered by RasCore, our highly redundant, military-grade avionics system for safe operations within EASA’s Specific Category. Three aircraft, one mission: to bridge the gap between small UAVs and traditional manned systems.

If you like creating high fidelity virtual worlds, then this job is for you. At the foundation of Model-Based Design (MBD), the simulation team ensures that all three aircraft are modeled as accurately as possible. As part of the team, you provide models that enable the whole development process to take place, you analyze flight test data to ensure the smooth operation of existing aircraft as well as to verify the models you created and increase their fidelity using System Identification, and you support design decisions of future prototypes.

  • Subsystem modelling (aerodynamics, propulsion, electrical systems, sensors, ground contact, … etc.)
  • Model integration for MiL and HiL tests
  • Open loop trimming and linearization
  • Performance, maneuverability and controllability assessment
  • Model verification through flight test data analysis
  • System identification
  • Support aircraft design process with insights regarding aerodynamics and flight dynamics
