Remote Pilot - Grille / Wespe
Do you want to work on a New Class of Unmanned Aircraft? Our product universe spans three different platforms with maximum take-off weights of up to 1000 kg and characteristic dimensions of 8 m: The hexacopter Grille for medical evacuation, the multi-role rotorcraft Wespe for logistics and support operations, as well as the fixed-wing drone Bussard for surveillance and intelligence missions. All systems are powered by RasCore, our highly redundant, military-grade avionics system for safe operations within EASA’s Specific Category. Three aircraft, one mission: to bridge the gap between small UAVs and traditional manned systems.

You are an experienced and skilled drone pilot with a high sense for responsibility, a technical background, and a passion for team play? If the answer is a clear “yes”, then take your game to the next level! Become a professional UAV test pilot and take over responsibility for preparation, organization, execution, and follow-up work on our flight tests. You will be responsible to remotely operate our aircraft and be one of the few on this planet to fly a UAV with an MTOM of 700 kg.

- Flight test order preparation
- Flight test execution and drone operation
- Flight test facility/equipment management
- Flight test documentation
- Qualitative analysis and feedback about the flight control system behavior
- Continuous improvement of operational procedures
- Continuous activity tracking and report to relevant panels
- Flight crew training organization and execution
- Frequent traveling
Qualifications
- Degree: Completed or ongoing degree (Bachelor/Master) in the domain of mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable programs
- Experience: Proof of practical experience in manual UAV flight
- Aptitude Test: Positive result in assessment (during application process)
- Tool-Knowledge (mandatory): Microsoft Office
- Tool-Knowledge (optional): Polarion, Gitlab
- Required for employment: Security clearance (Ü2-Sabotageschutz) approval (note: relationships in countries according to § 13 para. 1 no. 17 SÜG may result in a negative assessment)
