AI Transparency
Some images on avilus.com are visualisations created with the help of artificial intelligence. Wherever that is the case, the image carries a small label with the EU AI icon. This page explains what the label means and how we decide when to use it.
What the label means
“AI-generated image” marks a visual that was produced with generative AI — for example a rendering of one of our aircraft in a mission scenario. It illustrates a capability; it is not a photograph of a real flight or operation. “AI-modified image” marks a real photograph that was substantially altered with AI.
Why we label
The EU AI Act requires that realistic AI-generated or AI-manipulated images which could pass as authentic are clearly disclosed at first sight. We use the icon set published by the European Commission so the mark is recognisable across websites and platforms.
Which images are labelled
We apply one test: could a reasonable person believe this is a real photograph? Photoreal renders of aircraft in real-looking environments are labelled. Technical diagrams, schematic illustrations and photographs that were only colour-corrected or retouched are not.
Photographs and footage
Unlabelled photographs and videos on this site show real Avilus aircraft, real flights and real people.
